“A Story Waiting To Be Lived” aims to capture the spirit, mystery, and undeniable charm of this iconic San Diego landmark. Our main goal for this project was to transport viewers into a dreamlike world where every room, poolside moment, and cocktail lounge pour felt like a scene from a classic film—just waiting for its next lead.

Directed by PURE CINEMA founders Luke McCain & Ryan Knight and shot by DP Jamie Allender, our campaign features a :60 second commercial film alongside a series of 10-second vignettes and stills designed for social media.

Roaming around this property and capturing all of these scenes for 3 full days was a filmmaker’s playground—made possible by the trust and generosity of The Lafayette team.
